This frame we built for a lady from old wood that came from a old farm house torn down. We didn't even have to distress it any at all. The wood was weathered and distressed naturally. We did lightly sand to smooth it and then sealed it. The lady has a professional photo of cows off her farm that she is placing in the frame. She was happy with the finished frame.

The Birthday Girl
Today was our daughter's 17th birthday. It makes me sad to watch her grow up. She started her senior year of high school yesterday. Gifts were open, dinner at Olive Garden and back home for cake and ice cream.

Who's the Idiot?
Who's the idiot who brought a open can of stain into the house and then knocks it over? That would be me......
I have cried my eyes out. Called my hubby and told him, with tears included. He told me to clam down and he will take care of it when he gets home. If only I had a rug!!
No more bringing stain in the house......Idiot!

Black and White Photo
Some days I love to just walk outside with my camera in hand and just shoot whatever I see. Sometimes its nature, barns, animals and if I can do it without them knowing...my family.
I absolutely love a black and white photo. So today I took a b/w photo of this awesome tree stump. Love the old vintage look.
Happy Saturday!

Raven Rock State Park, North Carolina (Part Two)
And wouldn't you know as soon as we started on this trial we see this....
It was really nice to see. It is amazing to me on how many places are just hidden that we will never get to see. I told my daughter that I hope she will continue to find State Parks and enjoy it with her family. She has never been one to sit and play video games, but that cell phone is always in her hand.
I wasn't to sure about all the steps to get to the Rock but I got down them and back up them. I am guessing that they are the reason my legs are still hurting. Ha!
Raven Rock State Park, North Carolina (Part One)
First we took off on the Campbell Creek Loop Trail. It's 4.9 miles and one side of the loop travels beside the Creek. It was really nice. There were few bridges to cross, stairs to climb but so worth the view.
It wasn't long before my hubby and daughter were going down to a smaller creek to touch the water. I love that my daughter was really enjoying it.
We stopped at a few points of the creek. It was hot that day so it was nice to feel the cool water. It was a great day.
A small trail off the loop lead us to the Cape Fear River. It was nice.
